Jack the Ripper Suspect – John Pizer
a.k.a. Leather Apron.
Pizer as a Polish Jew who lived in Whitechapel, working as a bootmaker, or boot finisher.
Nicknamed “Leather Apron”, because of the leather apron he wore to work, many locals suspected him of being Jack the Ripper.
Arrested by Sgt William Thicke on the 10th of September 1888 in the belief that he had committed a string of minor assaults on Prostitutes, it turned out that Pizer had alibis for 2 of the murders, and he was talking to a police Officer at the time of another.
Conclusion: John Pizer could not have been Jack the Ripper.
